Registration renewal audits are assessed against the seven strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards — and the evidence has to be there on the day.
Three questions to ask your team this week:
- Can staff explain, in their own words, how a recent incident changed practice?
- Does every resident on a psychotropic have a documented reason, consent and review?
- Could you pull the evidence for each Standard in under an hour?
If any answer is "not sure", that's where a gap analysis and mock audit earns its keep.
